Overview and principle of petroleum perforators mainly refers to the sealed components that carry the directional blasting of perforating bullets in petroleum drilling construction. It is usually divided into the gun body, gun head, gun tail and other parts. It is made of seamless steel pipe, and blind holes are set on the outer wall of the steel pipe. The perforating guns commonly used at the present stage are classified according to the conveying method, perforating method, and recycling method.

In actual work, after all preparations are completed, the gun is detonated, and the detonating cord will explode at a high speed and high pressure, and then detonate the perforating bullet. After the explosive in the perforating bullet explodes, it will release a very strong impact force. This impact force will act on the conical bushing in the perforating bullet, which will cause it to receive thrust from the axial direction and concentrate together. At one point, the force acting on the top position of the conical bushing will be subjected to ultra-high pressure, pushing it forward at an extremely high speed, and then penetrating the casing, the cement ring and the formation to obtain the required perforation channel.
